*Dog Fish Head 60 Minute IPA – Milton, Delaware
It’s golden copper with a small head that dissipates into a thin film without much lacing. There is a slight piney zest but mostly light citrusy tones and a little malt sweetness. The bitterness is not over-powering, making this a smooth, well-balanced, crispy IPA.
*Harpoon IPA - Boston, Massachusetts
Medium bodied, good strong carbonation, crisp and refreshing feel on the tongue. Bitter hoppiness up front, with spicy and floral hops that dominate the aroma. The hops sit atop some nice biscuity malt smells and a touch of sugary sweetness.
*Long Trail IPA – Bridgewater, Vermont
Has a transparent reddish copper hue with a white head that dissipates quickly leaving minimal to no lacing. This full – bodied amber ale does not have an overpowering aroma, but there are hints of flowery hops, as well as some peach. It tastes lightly sweet with a hint of maple syrup and finishes slightly bitter.
*Rogue Dead Guy Ale – Portland, Oregon
The color is a deep orange copper with a slight haze. There is a toasted biscuit that comes at you right up front with an underlying caramel sweetness. Metallic notes come in at the middle with a light hop presence that is quite faint at the finish. Herbal, floral and grassy hops are there but hard to pick up. The finish is bitter with a light presence of grapefruit.
*Shock Top Belgium White – St. Louis, Missouri
Pours a hazy straw like golden hue with about three fingers worth of a foamy white head. This unfiltered Belgian – Style wheat tastes of slight orange citrus peel, coriander, and some yeasty, bready notes.
